About XIERRA ITAYEM

xierra itayem is a multimedia artist based in Miami, fl.. after graduating from Florida international university with a bachelors in arts in 2014, she went on to become a fine arts teacher, specializing in differentiated instruction in the visual arts. in her time teaching, xierra has helped grow the fine arts department into a thriving, competitive program that offers several resources and opportunities for students to delve into what they’re passionate about. in addition to teaching, xierra is a freelance artist whose work ranges from exploring women’s body narratives through body painting,, to illustrations and fiber arts. currently, her work centers around capturing her travels through small vignettes of gouache painting.
